Pilates Mat Classes | Pilates Reformer Classes

The Pilates Method is a complete fitness program designed to uniformly condition the body by strengthening the core muscles; abdominals, lower back and pelvis.

Strengthening “the core” generates a balance and coordination between strength, flexibility, muscular, and mental activity; all of which place the body in proper alignment.

Pilates promotes heightened body awareness, decompression of the joints, healthy breathing, body length, range and ease of body movement. Thereby, resulting in a body with overall strength and flexibility, that is less prone to chronic pain and injury.

Pilates Mat Classes

Pilates mat exercises are designed to use the resistance of your own body and gravity to create decompression and overall strength through the body. Exercise balls, bands, and free weights are sometimes incorporated.

Many students use both Pilates Mat Classes, Pilates Reformer Classes, Pilates Combo Classes, Privates, and Semi Private sessions in their exercise regiment.

Class size is limited to ensure quality instruction and safety. All classes are 55 minutes

Mat 1

Beginner to intermediate level students are welcome. Teachers are qualified to teach mixed levels and create a class that is both safe and challenging for all levels.

This class is ongoing and students are welcome on a drop in or pre-registration basis.

Mat 2

Intermediate to Advanced students are welcome. Joseph Pilates created thirty plus mat exercises to be executed with strict precision, rhythm, and breath. These advanced classes follow this “classic mat” repertoire and move at quick pace with very little stopping. It’s a workout!

This class is ongoing and students are welcome on a drop in or on a pre-registration basis. Advanced Pilates Mat classes are 45 minutes.

Reformer Classes

The Reformer is the main piece of equipment used in the Pilates Method. Reformer exercises use spring spring resistance to elongate and strengthen the entire body.

Many students use Pilates Reformer Classes, Pilates Mat Classes, Private, and Semi-Private sessions in their exercise regiment.

Classes are limited to 6 students and pre-registration is required. Classes are 55 minutes
