Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is movement linked with breath and is often described as a “moving meditation.” This form of yoga is designed to sychronize your breath with your moving yoga postures. The breath coordinated with movement will create an internal heat in the body that propmotes blood flow and circulation. Students will stretch while they are moving therefore, not only is the body opening it is also developing stanima and strength simoultaneously. Vinyasa Yoga allows for variety and the instructor will not follow the same sequence of postures in each class or private.

Yamas & Niyamas Series

Explore the guiding principles of your yoga practice with this 6- week intensive with Sydney Holly. Through asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), meditation and discussion, we’ll reflect upon the yamas and niyamas, the ethical precepts that allow us to be at peace with ourselves, our family, and the world that we live in. All levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Virgin Yoga Series

Have you always wanted to try yoga? Intimidated by the unfamiliar language? Learn the absolute basics in this beginners series. We will go over the names of poses, history and philosophy of yoga, show how you can use the block for support or modify postures to support your own body. This class will give you all the info. you need to feel prepared to take Yoga 1. Stacy will provide a recommended reading list, a dvd recommendation and will put together some hand outs on sun salutations to do at home.

Yoga 1

Our exciting beginner class invites you to learn the basics of Vinyasa Yoga in a comfortable and nurturing environment. Students will begin by exploring the proper alignment of yoga asanas (postures) and how they are linked together with breath. This class will ease you gracefully to your mat and leave you both relaxed and energized.

This class welcomes all levels of experience. Classes are 60mn.

Yoga 2

This class is designed to provide a comprehensive Vinyasa Yoga experience. Our open class moves through an invigorating sequence of asanas (postures) and powerful pranayama (breathing) techniques. This class emphasizes the importance of proper alignment and full breath while students explore their range of movement.

Some yoga experience recommended, although modifications will be provided for beginners. Classes are 60mn.
