Virgin Yoga Series
Have you always wanted to try yoga? Intimidated by the unfamiliar language? Learn the absolute basics in this beginners series. We will go over the names of poses, history and philosophy of yoga, show how you can use the block for support or modify postures to support your own body. This class will give you all the info. you need to feel prepared to take Yoga 1. Stacy will provide a recommended reading list, a dvd recommendation and will put together some hand outs on sun salutations to do at home.

Nidra Yoga Series
Shift into the fall season with Yoga Nidra~ Tuesday Sept 21st 7:15pm- 8:15pm
Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious deep sleep. This practice has been known for thousands of years by the sages and Yogis. In meditation, you remain in the Waking state of consciousness, and gently focus the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise. However, in Yoga Nidra, you leave the Waking state, go past the Dreaming state, and go to a Deep Sleep, yet remain awake. While Yoga Nidra is a state that is very relaxing, it is also used by Yogis to purify the Samskaras, the deep impressions that are the driving force behind Karma.
You will stretch out in Savasana (Corpse Pose). Your limbs heavy, breath is calm, thoughts are slowing down. In the distance, Stacy’s voice will blend with the sound of Tibetan bells and she will guide you through.
