The Pilates Method is a complete fitness program designed to uniformly condition the body by strengthening the core muscles; abdominals, lower back and pelvis. Strengthening “the core” generates a balance and coordination between strength, flexibility, muscular, and mental activity; all of which place the body in proper alignment. Pilates promotes heightened body awareness, decompression of the joints, healthy breathing, body length, range and ease of body movement, thereby resulting in a body with overall strength and flexibility that is less prone to chronic pain and injury.
Pilates Mat Classes
Pilates mat exercises are designed to use the resistance of your own body and gravity to create decompression and overall strength through the body. Exercise balls, bands, and free weights are sometimes incorporated. Many students use Pilates Mat Classes, Pilates Reformer Classes, Privates, and Semi Private sessions in their exercise regiment.
Class size is limited to ensure quality instruction and safety.
All classes are 60 minutes.

Chair Class
What is the Chair? Joseph Pilates created the double-duty chair as furniture….. that could be used to perform Pilates if flipped over. Genius! The chair is basically a box composed of a padded top and a pedal that controls the spring resistance. It is widely considered one of the most challenging and fun pieces of apparatus that was created. The chair was created to help prepare clients for the Intermediate level work on the Reformer.
Will you develop strength in this class? Indeed! Put your abs to the pedal, the chair pedal that is, and gain deep core strength and an all-over body tone – especially your upper body.
