Sometimes life just gets in the way. Snow storms, dysfunctional alarm clocks, babysitters and strep throat. There are times you just can’t make it to the scheduled pilates class. But workouts must go on, right?
When most people think of workout videos they think of Richard Simmon’s outdated little face sweatn’ to the oldies in pink lycra. It’s tough to find a go-to exercise video that will leave you feeling like you really did workout, in 2009.
I recently tuned in to the exercise section of Netflix which allows me to try out videos before purchase. Spare me the rainbow leg warmers and the disappointment of putting in a video only to find I could have done the exercises in my sleep. Now I can test out a video to see if I like it. If I do, Amazon.com is bound to have a used copy for cheap. If I don’t, I’ve just spared myself and the Salvation Army yet another useless DVD.
